Capital Campaign
|
|
| The Friends of the Locktown Stone Church, Inc. is approaching the 25th anniversary of its incorporation in 1986. To observe this milestone the Trustees have begun a fundraising campaign to establish a capital fund of not less than $50,000. The Friends have traditionally relied for funding upon foundation grants, state grants, and individual donations. However, we have not had a capital fund to cover unanticipated expenses, emergency needs, or special projects that do not fit the mold for foundation or state funding. The trustees have long felt that prudent management requires a capital fund to be in place to cover all contingencies. Through your support over the years the Locktown Stone Church has been beautifully restored and handsomely maintained. It is has become the site for concerts of all varieties, interesting lectures, and gracious weddings. If you have ever been in the church in the late afternoon, with the sun filtering through the windows, “you know what I mean.” The Trustees have chosen a target figure which we feel is adequate for our needs and also attainable. We will be relying upon a relatively small donor base to meet our goal and we hope we can count upon all those who have been so generous in the past to support us in this new endeavor. |
